Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun Counties Receive Top Rankings in the 2014 Digital Counties Survey
Governor Terry McAuliffe recently congratulated nine Virginia counties that received top rankings in the 2014 Digital Counties Survey. Winners included Fairfax County (third place, 500,000 or more population), Loudoun (second place, 250,000-499,999 population), and Arlington County (fourth place, 150,000-249,999 population).
The 12th annual Center for Digital Government's Digital Counties Survey recognizes leading examples of counties using technology to improve services and boost efficiencies. The survey is conducted in partnership with the National Association of Counties (NACo) annually. All U.S. counties are invited to participate, and hundreds of counties participated in the survey. Top-ranked counties were honored at a reception during the 79th Annual National Association of Counties (NACo) annual conference in New Orleans, which was held on July 11-14.
