Loudoun County Named the Top U.S. County for Jobs by CNN Money

CNN Money recently named Loudoun County, Va., the top county in the nation in job growth. Loudoun was recognized for its “expansive fiber networks and a swarm of tech workers,” particularly for its data centers occupying more than 4 million square feet and earning Loudoun its nickname – Data Center Alley. From 2000-2011, the number of jobs in Loudoun grew by 83.6 percent.

Easy access to the nation's capital and Dulles International Airport and the planned extension of the Metro into Loudoun also contributed to Loudoun’s job growth – the county is expected to attract more young professionals to the region.

In addition, Prince William County, Va., was named the eighth top county in the nation for job growth – recognized for the Innovation Technology Park – and Suffolk County, Va., was ranked ninth. For more information, click here.
