EIT Announces Expansion in Danville, Creating 50 Jobs

At a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, May 3, NVTC member company Electronic Instrumentation and Technology (EIT) announced the expansion of its Danville, Va. operations with the construction of a new facility in the Cyber Park. According to EIT Founder and Chairman Joe May, the expansion will create 50 local new jobs. NVTC is committed to encouraging the growth of technology jobs throughout the Commonwealth.

The new facility not only gives EIT the capacity for more domestic work, but also will help bring back to Virginia manufacturing services that would have otherwise been done offshore.

EIT, an electronics engineering and manufacturing firm headquartered in Sterling, Va., currently employs about 100 people at its current 40,000-square-foot Danville facility, which opened in 2005.
