NVTC University Members Honored by Gov. McAuliffe's Research Commercialization Awards
Gov. Terry McAuliffe recently announced 48 Commonwealth Research Commercialization Fund (CRCF) awards totaling more than $3.4 million to fund targeted areas of promising research and commercialization, including cybersecurity, energy, data analytics, unmanned systems and life sciences.
Managed by the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), the CRCF is aligned with and guided by the Commonwealth Research and Technology (R&T) Strategic Roadmap. Congratulations to NVTC university members College of William & Mary, The George Washington University, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia Tech, who were among those honored.
NVTC was a strong advocate for creating the CRCF and continues to advocate in Richmond each year for increased funding to promote innovative research, commercialization and entrepreneurship activity, as well as more collaboration between Virginia's research universities and technology businesses.
