The Northern Virginia Technology Council is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2019 Virginia Data Center Leadership Awards. As businesses and consumers generate exponentially more data and demand for data storage, protection and analytics, data centers are increasingly recognized as the backbone of technology and innovation worldwide. Virginia has emerged as the world's largest data center market and the data center sector is now a substantial driver of Virginia's statewide economy.

On April 24, 2019, NVTC will host the inaugural 2019 NVTC Virginia Data Center Awards at the Stone Tower Winery. Registration for the awards banquet on April 24 is now open.

The evening also will include a fireside chat featuring Virginia Speaker of the House Kirk Cox (R-Colonial Heights), senior Virginia Senator Janet Howell (D-Fairfax), Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) President & CEO Stephen Moret, and Virginia Senator Frank Ruff (R-Mecklenburg), Chair of the Senate General Laws and Technology Committee who will discuss topics and issues of importance to Virginia’s data center sector including Virginia’s business climate, the role of tax incentives in economic development, access to renewable energy, and new initiatives to grow Virginia’s technology workforce pipeline.
