NVTC and a coalition of technology associations recently sent a letter to Governor McAuliffe in opposition to the Virginia DMV’s cease and desist operation order against Uber and Lyft. The letter, which requested that the decision be reversed immediately for the safety and economic well-being of the region, was initiated by NVTC Board member Gary Shapiro, President & CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
Shapiro and CEA formed a coalition with three other signatory associations – The Internet Association, the Computer & Communications Industry Association, and NVTC. The letter was approved by Bobbie Kilberg, President and CEO of NVTC; Sudhakar Kesavan, Chairman of the NVTC Board; and by NVTC’s two Vice Chairs, Todd Stottlemyer and Anne Altman.
