Northern Virginia Technology Council Announces Finalists for the 2012 Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards

Revolution Chairman and CEO Steve Case to Receive Hall of Fame Award at 16th Annual Awards Gala on June 4

The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2012 Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards, which recognize chief financial officers and financiers for extraordinary achievement and excellence in promoting the development of the Greater Washington region's technology community. Now in its 16th year, the NVTC-produced awards program honors individuals in the following categories: Public Company CFO of the Year, Private Company CFO of the Year, Emerging Growth CFO of the Year and Financier of the Year Award, presented to an individual who has contributed to the economic development of the Greater Washington region’s technology community.

Winners in all four categories will be announced at the awards banquet on June 4, 2012, at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner in McLean, Va. In addition, the Michael G. Devine Hall of Fame Award will be presented to Revolution Chairman and CEO Steve Case, in recognition of his contributions to the Greater Washington region's technology business community during the course of his career.

The finalists for the Private Company CFO of the Year Award are:

  • Craig Adler, DLT Solutions
  • Michael Avon, Millennial Media
  • John Bax, LivingSocial
  • Doug Butler, Latisys
  • Rick Nadeau, SRA International

The Public Company CFO of the Year Award finalists are:

  • Paul Lalljie, Neustar
  • Tom Mutryn, CACI
  • Brian Radecki, CoStar Group
  • James Tholen, BroadSoft

The Emerging Growth CFO of the Year Award honors the chief financial officer of a company with revenue less than $50 million. The finalists are:

  • David Samuels, Bioscan
  • Usman Shakir, Berico Technologies
  • Aaron Thompson, Contact Solutions
  • Ann Thompson, Three Pillar Global
  • Melinda Warren, Vistronix

The Financier of the Year Award honors a venture capitalist, private equity investor or investment, merchant, or commercial banker who has contributed to the economic development of the region's technology community. The finalists are:

  • Jonathan Aberman, Amplifier Ventures
  • James Hunt, The MITA Group and Blu Venture Investors
  • Don Rainey, Grotech Ventures
  • Tige Savage, Revolution Ventures
  • Tom Weithman, CIT GAP Funds

These awards are a joint endeavor of Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the chairmanship of the event is rotated among the four accounting firms. The chairman of this year's awards program is Greg Kuykendall, partner at Ernst & Young.
