Gov. McDonnell Signs Job Creation and Economic Development Legislation at ICF International Ribbon-Cutting
On May 7, Gov. Bob McDonnell visited NVTC Board member company ICF International in Martinsville, Va., and ceremonially signed job creation and economic development legislation, including measures from his 2012 jobs and economic development agenda. Gov. McDonnell was joined by Lt. Gov. and Chief Jobs Creation Officer Bill Bolling, NVTC Vice Chair and ICF International Chairman and CEO Sudhakar Kesavan, and members of the General Assembly.In April 2011, ICF International announced plans to open its first operations center for Business Process Management in Henry County, Va., creating 539 new jobs. Virginia competed against Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee and West Virginia for the $15 million project. Today, the governor marked the grand opening of the facility with an official ribbon-cutting.
