The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC Teaming Event Draws More Than 100 Attendees
On Friday, October 22, The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC hosted more than 100 attendees at its Teaming, Partnering and Contracting event, the first program in its 2010-2011 event series. The event focused on best practices for teaming in the government contracting space.
Eleven prime contractors from the region participated by talking with and educating smaller businesses about how to do business with established companies, what types of partners they are looking for and potential opportunities for teaming in the future. The event also featured an exciting panel consisting of David Pak, president & CEO, USmax Corporation; Ludmilla Parnell, director, business development, small business partnerships, General Dynamics IT; and Jeff White, VP and founder, govWin Network. The panel touched on a variety of topics including best practices for teaming, ways to approach partnering relationships and how to avoid pitfalls in these relationships. Christopher Dorobek, co-anchor of Federal News Radio 1500 AM's DorobekINSIDER, moderated the event.
The prime contractors who participated in the event were: Booz Allen Hamilton; General Dynamics IT; Harris IT; HP Enterprise Services; ICF International; LMI; Lockheed Martin; Microsoft; Serco; Sprint; and Verizon Wireless.
