Founded in early 2012 by AOL alum, John Bracken, Speek raised $1.2 million from Vahalla and others in late 2012. Speek offers super simple, free and visual conference calling. Speek's VOIP service replaces the antiquated conference call experience of calling a 10-digit number and entering a pass code.
Founded in early 2012 by Novak Biddle partner Phil Bronner, Quad Learning raised $11 million from New Atlantic Ventures and others in February 2013. Quad Learning partners with community colleges to create a two-year program, "American Honors", designed to help students transfer to top-200 universities for their Bachelor's degree.
