Crowdfunding: What Entrepreneurs Need to Know
Please join the NVTC Small Business and Entrepreneur Committee for a program regarding the provisions of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups “JOBS” Act that are most relevant to entrepreneurs.
This program will focus on crowdfunding, and include discussions on new private capital raising channels made available through the JOBS Act, important changes to SEC regulations and other practical implications of the JOBS Act for growth companies focused on the government, technology, clean tech and life sciences industries.
Other topics include: who can benefit from crowdfunding; market participants; the VC perspective; and other capital formation enhancements from the JOBS Act including removal of the ban on general solicitation in Rule 506 offerings, the increase in the number of stockholders before private companies must go public, revamping Reg A-style “mini-public-offering” rules and IPO-facilitating provisions for emerging growth companies.
