Samir Gulati
Vice President, Marketing

Samir Gulati is vice president of marketing at Appian Corporation where he has successfully positioned Appian as an innovative leader in the BPM software market. Previously, Gulati served as vice president, global marketing for Pegasystems, a large publicly traded software company. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years at various divisions at General Electric and at Software AG, where he held several product management and marketing leadership positions.

Gulati holds an M.S. degree in computer science from University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from University of Chicago.



Eric Holmen
SVP of Marketing
Silverpop


A 20-year marketing veteran, Eric Holmen brings deep experience and powerful vision to his role as the leader of Silverpop's marketing efforts. With a unique combination of superior strategy development capabilities and exceptional operational planning skills, Holmen is focused on helping Silverpop and its customers achieve new levels of marketing success.

Prior to joining Silverpop, Holmen was the senior vice president of the wireless division of The Marketing Arm, an Omnicom company. He also served as president of mobile marketing firm SmartReply and in leadership roles in consumer marketing at Sears and at marketing technology firm Catalina Marketing. In addition, Holmen has co-authored three books focused on mobile marketing.

Holmen earned a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Redlands and an advanced certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology on innovation and strategy. He has been awarded four patents for marketing and technology process.



Helle Huxley
Vice President of Marketing
Deltek Information Solutions


As senior director of marketing and events at Deltek, Helle Huxley drives all marketing strategies, events and initiatives across the entire range of offerings within the Deltek Information Solutions group. Huxley directs and manages government contractor-focused outreach, media communications, advertising, branding, social media and more. Huxley's team spearheads industry outreach efforts, including the company's annual MarketView and Federal Outlook® conferences.

Huxley brings 20 years of unique, hands-on marketing experience to Deltek Information Solutions. Prior to her role at Deltek, Huxley spent six years as vice president of marketing and events for FedSources, WMG and FedSources Consulting. Huxley previously held positions producing national political events, as well as executive positions at Sony/ATV Publishing and Warner Bros. Television and creative positions at New Line Cinema. Huxley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh.



Toni May
Associate Director of Marketing and Sales Operations
Verizon Wireless


Toni May is the associate director of marketing and sales operations Washington Baltimore VA (WBV) for Verizon Wireless. She is responsible for the strategic/tactical direction of the WBV Region including advertising, sponsorship/events, product support, customer relationship, consumer, and business marketing and sales operations.

Prior to becoming associate director of marketing and sales operations, May held numerous sales and operation positions with Verizon Wireless and its predecessor companies. She started her career in wireless with Contel Cellular in 1990.



Cathy Melcher

Cathy Melcher is the marketing communications director for the Northrop Grumman Information Systems Civil Systems Division. She has more than 20 years of marketing communications experience, including previous branding, visibility and the strategic positioning leadership positions with OAO Technology Solutions, Raytheon Network Centric System, Harris Corporation and Concert Communications. As a global marketing and strategic communications leader Melcher has a proven record for driving strategic growth and targeted commercial, international and government market penetration through customer engagement campaigns, market recognition and thought leadership initiatives.

Melcher earned a bachelor's degree from New Mexico State University with a double major in English and journalism.



Chris Melissinos
Vice President, Corporate Marketing
Verisign


Chris Melissinos is Verisign's vice president of corporate marketing. His responsibilities include the development of global campaigns, company messaging, press relations and digital presence for Verisign, the trusted provider of Internet infrastructure services for the networked world.

Prior to joining Verisign, Melissinos served as Sun Microsystems' chief evangelist and chief gaming officer. Melissinos has contributed to and led numerous technology developments, including Java APIs focused on media and entertainment markets, mobile technologies, and he was one of the originators of the Project Darkstar initiative. Offering insight into transforming education, social changes in youth culture, next-generation technology development and emerging development communities, Melissinos' speaking resume includes JavaOne, SISCTI, Game Developers Conference, NUTN, E3, PAX, 3GSM, Stanford's AlwaysOn and Harvard's Cyberposium.

Melissinos is also the founder of PastPixels LLC, and is currently working on "The Art of Video Games" exhibition which will be on display at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., March 2012.
