Agile Adoption in the Federal Government - Passing Fad or the New Reality?
There is growing interest in agile software development and agile project management within the federal government. Both large and small government contractors are offering, or plan to offer services around agile methods that they have used successfully in the private sector. But many wonder if "agile" is just the latest buzzword and a passing fad, or the new reality for developing custom software applications and managing projects for federal agencies.
Join the NVTC Business to Government Committee as panelists discuss examples of what is actually being done around agile in the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Veterans Affairs, what obstacles have been overcome and what challenges still present themselves. Representatives from the private sector will also talk about CMMI certification and agile, and how your experience with agile best practices in the private sector may be leveraged for your government customers.
