We know NVTC members in the government contracting space face a variety of issues and questions due to the shutdown of the federal government. We wanted to share two important resources with you.
The Professional Services Council (PSC) has re-launched its online Government Shutdown Resource Center to provide contractors with timely information about what actions they can take during and following a shutdown, and to help them understand the operational implications. The webpage contains materials from PSC's 2011 program on contractor implications of a government shutdown, CRS reports, past and current guidance from federal agencies, and other pertinent documents, all of which will be updated as additional information becomes available.
Additionally, Senator Mark Warner has provided us with a May 2013 report to Congress from the Congressional Research Service entitled Government Procurement in Times of Fiscal Uncertainty. This report provides an overview of the various options that the government has when confronted with funding gaps, funding shortfalls and budget cuts.
NVTC will share additional informational resources with you as they become available.
