Forbes has ranked Virginia second in the annual “Best States for Business” list released Dec. 12, citing Virginia’s strong incentive offerings and business friendly government policies.
The Best States ranking measures six business categories: costs, labor supply, regulatory environment, current economic climate, growth prospects and quality of life. The Commonwealth scored among the top five states in half of the categories considered in the annual study and in the top half of states in all categories, including first for regulatory environment, second for labor supply and fourth for quality of life.
The Commonwealth outperformed neighboring states North Carolina (ranked No. 4) and Maryland (ranked No. 16) in the Forbes list. For more information and to view the Virginia results, click here.
