Telework Exchange hosted the second annual Telework Week, March 5-9, to encourage agencies, organizations and individuals to pledge to telework. NVTC supported the effort by encouraging it staff to telework, and 85 percent of NVTC staff members participated, working remotely at least once.
According to Telework Exchange, more than 69,000 individuals pledged to telework during Telework Week. Collectively, these pledges saved $5.5 million and removed 3,358 tons of pollutants from the air in just one week.
A report on the success of Telework Week 2012 will be released at the upcoming Spring Town Hall Meeting on May 2. For more information about Telework Week and the Spring Town Hall, visit www.teleworkexchange.com/teleworkweek.
