Micron CEO Steve Appleton Dies in Plane Crash

NVTC is deeply saddened to report that Steve Appleton, chairman and CEO of Board member company Micron Technology and our most recent Titans speaker, was killed in a small plane crash in Boise, Idaho. He was 51.

In a statement issued Friday, February 3, Micron wrote:

We are deeply saddened to inform you that Steve Appleton passed away this morning in a small plane accident in Boise. He was 51.

Our hearts go out to Steve’s wife, Dalynn, his children and his family during this tragic time. Steve’s passion and energy left an indelible mark on Micron, the Idaho community and the technology industry at large. He was not only our leader, he was also our true friend.
