Governor Terry McAuliffe Meets with Entrepreneurs to Discuss Virginia’s Economy

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe met with more than 30 entrepreneurs and technology executives at CIT’s Mach37 Cybersecurity Accelerator on Monday, Nov. 17 to discuss Virginia’s innovation economy. The roundtable discussion was led by Pete Jobse, president and CEO of CIT, and focused on gathering ideas from the technology community on how to diversify the Commonwealth’s economy. Bobbie Kilberg, President & CEO of NVTC, Kristin D’Amore, President of The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC, Rick Gordon, Managing Partner of Mach37, and Tom Weithman, Vice President and Managing Director of the CIT GAP Funds, participated in the roundtable.

The entrepreneurs gave insights, based on their own experiences in starting companies, on what programs and incentives would make Virginia stand out as a place to start a business, including new and enhanced initiatives, tax incentives, funding programs, talent cultivation and recruitment, and infrastructure development.
