NVTC Awarded 2012 Excellence in Virginia Government Award for Public Information

On Friday, Dec. 7, NVTC was honored with an Excellence in Virginia Government Award at a ceremony in Richmond, Va. The Excellence in Virginia Government Awards are presented by Virginia Commonwealth University’s L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs to celebrate the accomplishments of Virginians who have made distinctive contributions to the practice of government and to the well-being of Virginia’s communities and citizens.

NVTC received the Public Information Award in recognition of its efforts to educate NVTC members and the public on issues crucial to technology. In accepting the award, NVTC Vice President of Policy Josh Levi thanked NVTC’s members for supporting NVTC’s efforts to demonstrate and advocate for the transformative nature of technology in expanding citizen access to and awareness of the political process and the impact of laws and policies on individuals, businesses and communities.
