The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC Director Participates in Panel at Gov. McDonnell's Small Business Summit

On Thursday, October 13, Gov. Bob McDonnell hosted more than 350 attendees for The Governor's Small Business Summit in Richmond. The attendees gathered for an opening luncheon with remarks from Gov. McDonnell, advice from successful entrepreneurs and organizations that provide assistance to small businesses, and a question and answer session with members of the governor's Cabinet.

There were several panel discussions before the full audience on topics such as building a technology business in Virginia, financing and other key issues. During the panel focused on building a technology business in Virginia, Kristin D'Amore, director of The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC, briefed the audience on various resources, including mentoring and advising, education, networking and financing opportunities, that are available for entrepreneurs and startups in the Commonwealth.
