Case is one of America's best-known and most accomplished entrepreneurs and philanthropists. In January 2011, he was named Chairman of the Startup America Partnership, an independent alliance of the country's most innovative entrepreneurs, corporations, foundations, universities and other leaders working with President Obama to increase the prevalence and success of U.S. entrepreneurs. The Partnership aims to expand entrepreneurship education, increase the supply of entrepreneurs and create an upturn in the success rate of entrepreneurs by reducing non-market obstacles.

Case co-founded America Online (AOL) in 1985 and served as Chairman of the Board of AOL Time Warner until 2003. In 2005, after years of partnering with more than a dozen entrepreneurs as an investor and mentor, he created Revolution to oversee his rapidly expanding investments. The success of AOL, coupled with Case’s success building businesses through Revolution, led CNBC to call him “one of the nation’s greatest entrepreneurs.” Case is also Chairman of the Case Foundation, which has invested in hundreds of organizations, initiatives and partnerships in the U.S. and around the globe.
