NVTC Members Named to Virginia Unmanned Systems Commission

Three representatives of NVTC Board member companies were recently named to the Virginia Unmanned Systems Commission by Gov. Terry McAuliffe. The Commission, which was established by Gov. McAuliffe in June 2015, is intended to bring public and private sector experts together to make recommendations on how to make Virginia the national leader in unmanned systems. Congratulations to Tom Dingus of Virginia Tech, David Hamrick of the MITRE Corporation, and Guy Sanitate of Scitor Corporation, an SAIC company, on their appointments!

"Capitalizing on Virginia's advantages in the unmanned systems industry is key to building a new Virginia economy," said Governor McAuliffe when announcing the Commission in June. The Virginia Unmanned Systems Commission will be a key asset in charting the way forward to grow this industry and create new, good jobs and economic opportunities across the Commonwealth.
