NVTC Leaders Named to Governor McAuliffe’s University Board Appointments
Governor Terry McAuliffe recently announced his appointments to the Boards of Visitors at Virginia’s colleges and universities, the State Council for Higher Education for Virginia and the State Board for Community Colleges. Nine NVTC member representatives were named as appointees. Among those appointed were incoming NVTC Chair Todd A. Stottlemyer, former CEO of Acentia LLC (recently acquired by MAXIMUS Federal Services), who was reappointed to the College of William and Mary Board of Visitors; and NVTC Chair Emeritus Sudhakar Shenoy of IMC Inc., who was reappointed to the Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors.
In addition, three Board member company representatives were named: Shawn N. Purvis of Northrop Grumman Information Systems was appointed to the George Mason University Board; Minnis E. Ridenour of Virginia Tech was named to the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia; and Deborah Tompkins Johnson of Dominion Virginia Power was named to the James Madison University Board.
Finally, four member company representatives were named: Carolyn S. Berkowitz of Capital One was reappointed to the State Board for Community Colleges; Whittington W. Clement of Hunton & Williams was named to the University of Virginia and Affiliated Schools Board; Davis Rennolds of McGuireWoods Consulting was named to the University of Mary Washington Board; and Gene Scott of Verizon was named to the Virginia Military Institute Board.
