The Power of Angel Investing

Join The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC for an interactive program highlighting best practices in angel investing. This full-day seminar, facilitated by John May of New Vantage Group, will provide an overview of the angel investing process, including finding, evaluating, and structuring deals, and will explain how to develop angel-entrepreneur relationships that lead to success.

The Power of Angel Investing will feature a faculty of local experts including seasoned angel investors with diverse investment experience, tax and legal experts and angel-financed entrepreneurs. Topics such as portfolio strategy, due diligence, deal structure and valuation will be explored through a balance of expert presentations, panel discussions and small group case studies.

  • All individuals who are interested in learning about the specifics of angel investing
  • Successful entrepreneurs who have exited their businesses and have interest in staying involved in early stage companies
  • Current entrepreneurs looking to learn the angel investing process

The Power of Angel Investing is a series of education programs about angel investing, developed by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation with content provided by angel experts and angel group leaders from around the country. The Angel Resource Institute, the leader in educating angel investors, entrepreneurs, economic development professionals and other support service staff with the skills and training needed to successfully engage the angel investing process, distributes this education program.

Registration Policies

All attendees must have a paid registration to enter an event. Advance registration and payment is required. Pre-registration will close 24/48 hrs prior to the event. Once pre-registration has closed, all registrations will be considered a "walk-in registration" and will be assessed an additional fee to any payment rendered. Events for which payment is not required will not be assessed this fee. For sold-out events, no walk-ins will be accepted.
