Implementing Statement 123(R) - Do You Know What You Don't Know?
Companies are expending considerable effort related to the adoption of Statement 123(R), Share-Based Payment. As they begin to implement Statement 123(R), they are finding that there are many complex accounting and implementation issues that must be considered. This panel presented a tactical session designed to help CFOs and controllers, as well as their accounting and HR staff, understand the issues surrounding implementation. Attendees heard first hand from executives who have already adopted SFAS 123(R) about the issues they encountered including the level of effort, length of time, and nature of resources required for implementation. They also provided practical advice and insight regarding surprises they encountered along the way and the things they would do differently if they had to do it again.
