Mike Avon
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Michael Avon serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Millennial Media, where he is responsible for the company's overall financial, legal and corporate development activities. He has spent the past decade building early-stage and growth companies as a venture capitalist, operator, entrepreneur and attorney.

Most recently, Avon was a principal at Columbia Capital, a leading communications and media-focused venture capital fund, where he focused on digital media, wireless and consumer internet investments, such as Avail-TVN, Social Gaming Network, Webs.com, Gizmoz, GoAhead Software and Millennial Media. Avon was also a venture capitalist with Toucan Capital, and led business development at FOLIOfn.

Earlier in his career, Avon served as a corporate finance and transactional attorney at Gunderson Dettmer, focused on serving the needs of emerging growth companies and venture capital funds.

Avon is an advisor to numerous early-stage Internet companies and venture funds, including LaunchBox, FounderFuel and QED Investors.

Avon has a B.A., with distinction, from the University of Virginia and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law. He currently resides with his wife and two children in McLean, Va.

Kevin Boyce
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

As senior vice president and chief financial officer for Ellucian, Kevin M. Boyce oversees the company's global operations in finance, accounting, tax, treasury, legal, information technology, human resources and corporate development. He also plays a senior role in its strategic growth initiatives. In 2010, NVTC named Boyce the Private Company CFO of the Year for the Washington, D.C., area.

Boyce joined Datatel Inc. as its CFO in June 2007. From June 2006 to June 2007, he was vice president of finance for North America for Culligan International. He was the lead financial executive of six business lines with combined revenues of approximately $500 million. Previously, Boyce held a number of financial positions at JPMorgan Chase Vastera, completing his tenure as CFO. While at JPMorgan Chase Vastera, Boyce managed global finance operations across five continents, including accounting, audit, tax, treasury, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, and financial merger and acquisition functions. He began his career in the communications and technology group at Arthur Andersen LLP, most recently as a manager in its audit practice. There, Boyce worked extensively with emerging technology growth companies, primarily in the software, hardware and communications industries.

Boyce is an active member of the board of trustees of Phillips Programs. He served as its treasurer from 2002 to 2009 and was elected to chairman in October 2009. Boyce is a certified public accountant, a member of the AICPA and Virginia Society of CPAs, and a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

Steve Vintz
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Steve Vintz is an accomplished financial executive with more than 18 years of financial, operational and strategic planning experience working with growth companies in the technology industry.

At Vocus, Vintz oversees all financial, legal, investor relations, human resources and administration functions. Vintz has led the company through a period of rapid growth and expansion, including an initial public offering, a follow-on offering and three acquisitions. Under his leadership, Vocus has received numerous accolades for its financial success including 11 consecutive years among the Deloitte Fast 500 list of fastest-growing technology companies in North America and recognition by Forbes as one of America's 25 Fastest Growing Technology Companies. In 2008, Vintz won the Northern Virginia Technology Council's Public Company CFO of the Year.

Prior to Vocus, Vintz was the vice president of strategic planning and analysis at Snyder Communications, a NYSE-listed advertising and marketing services company. During his tenure at Snyder, Vintz played a lead role in the execution and integration of more than 45 acquisitions and oversaw growth from $86 million to nearly $1 billion in revenue.

Prior to Snyder, Vintz was a manager with Ernst & Young. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Loyola College Sellinger School of Business.
