Data Center and Cloud Optimization in the U.S. Federal Gov't

The U.S. Federal Government has closed thousands of data centers and saved billions of dollars through its Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and CloudSmart program, while at the same time improving data center operations and efficiencies. The next step is application rationalization which could save even more money. Now the positive momentum of these programs face the impact of the coronavirus crisis.

Come to this exclusive committee meeting to hear from two data center and cloud leaders about current state and future plans for data centers and the cloud in the U.S. Federal Government.

Protecting Innovation During the Digital Transformation
Presented by NVTC’s Digital Transformation Committee

Join us for an educational webinar on how to defend your ideas from rivals and maximize the competitive advantages of those ideas. Dr. Michael Casey of Oblon will discuss how to think about developing and protecting your intellectual property portfolio. Dr. Casey will address topics such as how to share confidential or sensitive information with potential customers or partners while retaining the ability to protect that information, when to explore patent protection and what are the benefits and drawbacks of a patent versus other forms of intellectual property, and when to consider licensing new technology and what aspects of the technology should be licenses.

NVTC Virtual Happy Hour with Trivia

Grab a beverage of your choice and join NVTC in celebrating “Hump Day.” Each Wednesday at 4 p.m. NVTC will host a virtual Happy Hour complete with a trivia game! We hope that you will join in the fun and make some new business connections with other NVTC members.

Masters of Leadership: A Discussion with Former Governor Chris Christie

The Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Consumer Technology Association are pleased to announce a new leadership event series, Masters of Leadership, that will showcase innovative management strategies and bold leadership principles from some of the most prominent public figures and business leaders in our country. 

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will share key principles that guides his leadership style along with insights on what it will take to restart the country’s economy following the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Christie will offer his thoughts on both short- and long-term goals and strategies for safely establishing a new normalcy in an effort to position the country for forward progress.
