NVTC Remembers Tom Farrell

It is with great sadness that we pause to remember Tom Farrell, former chairman, president and CEO of Dominion Energy, who passed away on April 2nd at the age of 66—one day following his retirement. Over the course of his 26-year tenure with Dominion, Tom worked tirelessly with governors, legislators, college and university presidents, and fellow business leaders to build support for education and to foster economic growth in the National Capital Area and throughout the Commonwealth. He led and participated on boards of innumerable Virginia institutions and commissions, both non-profit and corporate, and served as the Rector and a member of the Board of Visitors at the University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University. A valued member of NVTC’s Board of Directors, long-time supporter of our region’s technology community, and friend to many, Tom was a champion for sustainable energy, diversity and inclusion, hiring Veterans, and community service.

On behalf of the NVTC Board and community, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to Tom’s family and friends who are in our thoughts and prayers. Tom will be greatly missed.

With our condolences,

Greg Baroni, Chairman and CEO, Attain Partners and Chair, NVTC
Jennifer Taylor, President and CEO, NVTC
Bobbie Kilberg, President and CEO Emeritus, NVTC
