GWU Workshop: National Industry–Academia Partnership for Informing Computing Curricula

George Washington University School of Engineering & Applied Science faculty and their colleagues from other engineering schools invite professionals from the computing/IT industry to join them for a virtual, National Science Foundation-funded workshop, “Aligning Educational Goals with Professional Practice,” to be held October 2 and 3 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The goal of the workshop is to initiate a long-term partnership between the computing/software industry and academia to keep computing curricula up-to-date and globally competitive. Workshop participants will provide a broad range of perspectives on computing education and practice, and will include practitioners who have just joined the workforce, experienced practitioners, mid-level managers, HR professionals, C-suite executives, university professors, and accreditation experts.
