Join NVTC’s Data Center and Cloud Community for our 2021 year-end meeting on December 2 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom.

Emil Avram, Vice President of Business Development at Dominion Energy will join the meeting as the keynote guest speaker and will discuss the current state of sustainability today, the advancement of Small Modular Nuclear Reactor (SMR) technologies, natural gas and hydrogen-fueled power generation, and the importance of reliability in the data center sector.

The meeting will be hosted by Stan Blackwell, Vice Chair of NVTC’s Data Center and Cloud Community and Director of Customer Solutions and Strategic Partnerships at Dominion Energy.

Vice President, Business Development, Dominion Energy

Emil Avram is vice president–Business Development at Dominion Energy, responsible for the growth and development of its regulated utility and merchant power generation, and renewable natural gas businesses. He has led the development and construction of over $10 billion in energy, gas pipeline and power projects.

After having spent 10 years at United Technologies in various roles in the aerospace and energy industries, Avram joined Dominion Energy in 2001 and held various roles in project development and construction in both the power generation and interstate natural gas pipeline businesses. He became vice president-Innovation in July2018 and assumed his current post in December 2019.

He has served on the board of the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), which grows and diversifies Virginia's economy by investing in and accelerating innovation, commercialization and entrepreneurship, and on the board of HomeAgain, which helps families and individuals experiencing homelessness in the Richmond area secure and maintain a home again.
