Did you know that there are 340 million VISA credit cards in circulation in the United States with another 801 million cards outside the U.S.? In fact, in 2019, 185.5 billion purchase transactions were made worldwide using VISA payment cards. Who is protecting those credit card transactions and sensitive data from a constantly changing cyber threat landscape? The VISA Cyber Defense and Engineering organization led by Bill Shields, Senior Vice President, VISA.

On November 5th, NVTC’s Data Center and Cloud Committee will receive an exclusive briefing to learn from Bill and two of his key teammates: Philip Desch - Distinguished Engineer, Advanced Threat Detection and Michael Eng - Chief Cybersecurity Architect, Cyber Solutions Engineering. During the meeting the VISA team will discuss trends, strategies, and technologies in cybersecurity and how VISA defends against cyber adversaries.
