Presented by the NVTC Small Business and Entrepreneur Committee

This month's meeting will feature remarks from Stephen P. Ramaley, Principal with Miles & Stockbridge. Ramaley will share his insight geared towards the Biden Administration’s vision for Small Business, federal procurement as well as PPP related topics.  He will also discuss his thoughts behind how the legislation will integrate with the existing procurement architecture and advise on potential issues to lookout for in the horizon.

Stephen P. Ramaley is a government contracts and grants lawyer. Ramaley assists private and public entities with contracts and grants compliance; government audits and fraud investigations; teaming negotiation and disputes; claims; and other matters relating to domestic and international public contracts and grants. One of Ramaley’s focuses, within government contracting law, is the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (“SBA”) socioeconomic government contracting programs, including the small business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business, 8(a) Business Development, and HUBZone programs. Ramaley counsels small, mid-size and large government contractors on all aspects of these SBA programs, including program entry, regulatory compliance, teaming and joint venturing, small business mergers and acquisitions, and post-graduation challenges. Ramaley also has significant experience prosecuting and defending bid protests before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and GAO, as well as appeals before SBA's Office of Hearings and Appeals. In addition to representing clients in specific matters, Ramaley frequently writes and speaks on challenges facing the Government contracts and grants communities, and has given testimony as a subject matter expert before the United States House of Representatives, Subcommittee on Contracting and the Workforce.
