It has been said that Virginia was better prepared than other states when the pandemic hit. One of the reasons for this was that Virginia's Chief Data Officer, Carlo Rivero, leveraged a cloud based, data sharing platform that was built to aid in its response to the opioid epidemic. The platform and project-based data trust grew into what is now known as the Commonwealth Data Trust. This trust provides the governance framework for the development of near real-time data analytics that guides Virginia's COVID-19 response; and is now supporting the commonwealth's vaccine administration.

This event will take place on the Airmeet platform and will include networking before and after Carlo's presentation.
