Business Development, Marketing & Sales

The NVTC Business Development, Marketing & Sales Committee educates and connects the region's high-tech sales, business development and marketing professionals through high-energy events. The "Excellence in Sales and Marketing" series consists of monthly forums where expert speakers provide updates on critical trends in the industry and offer compelling real-world case studies. In addition, the committee hosts two workshops per year that bring together high-level, accomplished individuals to expand our network of key people.

CFO Series

The mission of the NVTC CFO Series is to provide content and contacts to technology company CFOs. With the guidance and direction of the series steering committee, informative and insightful events are held throughout the year. The target audience is technology company CFOs and attendance is limited to senior financial technology executives. Service providers who wish to attend must register with and bring a senior financial technology executive to the event.

Cybersecurity and Privacy

The primary focus of this committee is to educate and provide best practices on all aspects of cybersecurity. Through educational forums and insightful dialogue with NVTC members, the committee will become a valuable resource for those in the Northern Virginia technology community who want to stay updated on the current issues and developments that pertain to cybersecurity.

Data Center and Cloud Committee

The primary focus of this task force is to provide a discussion forum and a strong, collective voice for the region's data center and critical technology infrastructure community.

Digital Transformation Committee

The NVTC Digital Transformation Committee offers educational, networking, and private-public partnership opportunities, with a focus on applying, leveraging and promoting the region's unique wealth of expertise in all the technologies that are driving digital transformation. Digital Transformation is journey that brings together several enabling technologies/platforms together to achieve an organization’s objectives: Artificial/ML, Analytics, Blockchain, IoT, Cloud Computing (IaaS, PaaS, Saas), CRM, BPM, ITSM etc. The Committee’s mission aligns with NVTC’s mission to be the regional voice of technology, representing a diverse and thriving technology ecosystem, promoting innovation, and convening, educating, and advocating for the region's technology community to address a broad range of Digital Transformation related opportunities, issues and technologies. We plan to accomplish these through a variety of events with participation of both Govt and Industry leaders, publication of white papers etc. You will get an opportunity to network, learn and share your knowledge with your peers in the industry.

Health Technology

NVTC Health Technology Committee, with its new BioMedTech Subcommittee provides NVTC members with education, networking, and business and government opportunities to participate in and benefit from the increasing use of electronic health information and technology in the delivery of and payment for healthcare. The BioMedTech subcommittee will focus on informing members of the latest trends in bioinformatics, biotechnology, medical devices and medical software. Among the areas of focus for the Committee are using computer technology for health information, improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare, tech transfer, growing Northern Virginia's healthcare technology workforce and interfacing with NoVaHealthFORCE. Members of the Health Technology Committee and the BioMedTech subcommittee include technology suppliers, health care providers, researchers, scientists, hospitals, payors, consultants, technologists, educational institutions, public charities and employers providing workforce health care benefits.

HR & Benefits Committee

The NVTC HR & Benefits committee's mission is to create a community of members interested in sharing best practices, collaborating, learning about the latest advancements in human resource management, and staying informed on employee benefit issues including developments and requirements of the Affordable Care Act. The committee will hold quarterly events featuring guest speakers and smaller committee meetings for members to collaborate and share ideas in a more intimate setting. The committee will produce an electronic newsletter with relevant content as well as an annual work/life survey, and provide CE credits to those in attendance as appropriate. Through meetings, events and hosting foreign delegations, the committee keeps the Northern Virginia technology community current on global trends in technology policy and promotes the region's technology community to an international audience.

NVTC NextGen Leaders brings together the future leaders of the technology industry in our region and provides a forum for rising professionals to connect and engage with senior executives in the technology community, share best practices for young professionals, and develop content, resources and networking events that help to build a regional community of emerging leaders.

Small Business and Entrepreneur

The Small Business and Entrepreneur Committee supports and promotes emerging technology businesses focused on growth and entrepreneurs launching businesses by providing content-driven programs that focus on issues such as corporate structure, financing, business development and other topics of interest to meet the challenges of establishing, growing and scaling businesses. The committee educates, promotes strategic alliances, addresses the concerns of these businesses and provides excellent networking opportunities.

Sustainable Energy

The mission are goals of Sustainable Energy Committee are: To highlight, build awareness and grow brand of regional and Virginia-based sustainable and clean tech businesses, technologies, assets and solutions; bring together and convene diverse public and private sector stakeholders to grow and support our regional and statewide clean tech and energy ecosystem; provide feedback and advice to NVTC's Executive Committee where there is consensus on advancing sustainable energy-related public policy issues and initiatives in Virginia and provide a forum to educate, highlight, promote and share experiences regarding how technology and clean tech solutions can help advance corporate and public sector energy sustainability goals; discuss and provide thought leadership regarding impediments, solutions and best practices in addressing the responsible, secure and resilient deployment of sustainable energy technologies and solutions and provide networking opportunities for NVTC members to meet potential partners, customers, investors in the sustainable energy and clean tech space.

Technology Innovations

The mission of the new NVTC Tech Innovations Committee is to serve as a resource, facilitator and thought leader to address a broad range of information technology-related opportunities and issues of interest to NVTC members. These opportunities and issues include those affecting both providers and users of a broad spectrum of communications technologies, services and applications of information technology, and others involved in related industry. The Technology Innovation Committee holds regular events that feature guest speakers on topical subjects, where members can evaluate and discuss the associated technical, security, legal and social developments and implications.
