Who We Are: Our Vision and Mission
The Northern Virginia Technology Council continues to shape the prominence of the national capital region as a leading technology hub. Over the last 30 years, the national capital region has emerged to become the world’s largest technology marketplace representing a diverse set of technology companies—both commercial and government contractors. What makes our region unique and unlike any is our proximity to the U.S. Federal Government, the largest purchaser of technology products and services in the world. In addition, the internet was born here, and today more than 70% of internet traffic flows through our region. The region continues to experience tremendous growth where innovation comes to life and has a lasting impact and is poised to do so in the future. As we look for ways to continue driving impact in the region, it is critical that we collaborate and create an ecosystem where our membership can develop best-in-class technology and attract and retain talent to become the source for innovation and growth. It begins with an agreed-upon vision and mission and commitment from our membership to seeing it through.
