Linda A. Mills
CEO & President
Linda A. Mills is the former corporate vice president of Operations for Northrop Grumman. She reported directly to the CEO and was a member of the company's Corporate Policy Council. Mills was responsible for driving effective operations to enable top performance, innovation and affordability. This included direct responsibility for corporate programs, quality, technology and engineering and the associated corporate councils.
During her Northrop Grumman career, Mills held numerous positions of increasing scope and responsibility. She was corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman's Information Systems and the Information Technology sectors, a leading global provider of advanced solutions for defense, intelligence, civil agency and commercial customers. Prior to Northrop Grumman, Mills was employed by TRW and AT&T Bell Labs.
Mills has received numerous awards and honors for her industry leadership. She was honored as one of Diversity Journal
's "2011 CEO Leadership in Action." She was listed as one of "Washington's Top 100 Tech Titans" by Washingtonian Magazine
. In 2010, Mills received the Alumni Award for Distinguished Service from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's College of Engineering for outstanding leadership and management. More recently, she was named one of the top 100 Women Leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by STEMconnector™, as well as the sixth most powerful woman in aerospace and one of the 50 most powerful women in business by Fortune
Mills serves on the Boards of the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, the Senior Advisory Board for NVTC and the board of visitors for the University Of Illinois College Of Engineering and is a member of The Committee of 200 who encourage young women leaders. In addition to her nonprofit work, Mills is a member of the Navient Board of Directors. She has a B.S. in mathematics from Santa Clara University and a Master's in computer science from the University of Illinois.
