Douglas S. Ingram, Ph.D.
Ingram is the Chief Strategy Officer and Chairman of the Advisory Board for Welbeck Secure Solutions. Previously he was managing director for the Centurion Research Solutions Analytics Competency Center. Ingram started an information technology company that was acquired by Metamor Worldwide and then by PSINet. At PSINet he was president, U.S. Sales and Consulting Services. Recognized as a business and technology industry leader, Ingram is focused on developing organizations and their personnel by improving business models, sales, marketing, delivery and operations. He is active in the technology community and is focused on making a positive impact on people and organization.
The Ingram Group provides management and consulting to enhance the performance of businesses. This involves utilizing a quantitative approach to assessing a company's effectiveness in the market. Accomplishments include: transitioning a company from near bankruptcy to an Inc. 5000 company with double digit profitability and a 30 percent increase in revenue. In addition, he enabled the financial performance of a good business to perform significantly above their peer group and become an Inc. 5000 company.
At Centurion Research Solutions he was responsible for development and roll out of the Opportunity Assessment NOW (OAN) analytics program, the industry leading business development predictive analytic (patent pending). As a Partner with the Inc. CEO Project, Ingram worked with CEOs of Inc. 5000 companies to enhance their growth and productivity.
At PSINet he was the president of U.S. Sales and Consulting Services. Ingram increased revenue from $30 million to $500 million. By managing the sales and operations of an enterprise that provided a full spectrum of integrated solutions from access and hosting to development applications. During this period he exceeded plan for revenue and earnings, establishing a cohesive, integrated organization to provide access and consulting solutions. This included establishing an infrastructure for the integrated organization to function effectively which included implementing management, business development and operational processes.
While serving as CEO of LCT, the company was recognized as an industry leader in project management and customer responsive solutions. LCT was listed in the Washington Technology
Fast 50 for three years, was the 1997 IT Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year, and provided project management for IBM and Nagano Olympic Organizing Committee at the 1998 Nagano Olympics.
Ingram is active in the business and technology community. He is a founding member of NVTC and has been on the Board of Directors for 10 years. He is involved in the boards of several technology companies, and was chairman of the Foundation Board of Suburban Hospital as well as a member of the Suburban System Board focusing on governance and medical quality.
Ingram received a bachelor's in physics and master's in mathematics from Pepperdine University, and received a Ph.D. from the University of Texas. He also attended several IBM management courses as well as graduating from the Executive Program at University of Virginia's Darden Business School.
