NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative

Posting Jobs on NoVaTechVets.org

A valuable component of the NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative is the online community and resource, developed by NVTC member Monster.com, where NVTC member companies can post FREE job listings and access Monster's database of more than 800,000 veteran resumes. In addition, the site will feature a military skills translator for veterans to match their skills to civilian jobs.

There are three options to post your open jobs on the Veterans Employment Initiative job board:

  1. Migration - NVTC members who have active postings on Monster.com will have those postings automatically posted to the NVTC Veterans job board. If you do not want your company's jobs migrated from Monster.com to the NVTC Veterans site, you must notify NVTC prior to the public launch.
  2. Scraping/Wrapping - To authorize Monster to scrape jobs on your website, please complete the job wrapping form, available here, and submit to veterans@nvtc.org.
  3. Posting - NVTC members that don't post jobs with Monster.com or that don't have job postings that can be scraped from their own website (options 1 or 2 above), can post jobs manually. Don't worry, this is easy, quick and free. After you receive your log-in credentials, follow the instructions in the attached document to post your jobs. You can post as many jobs as you wish using this method.
To begin, please click here to create an employer account on the site. Once you're approved, you can begin posting jobs and/or searching veteran resumes.

In addition, Monster will be hosting brief webinars to guide NVTC member companies through the process of using the job board and resume database. Please email veterans@nvtc.org if you are interested in participating in a webinar and she will share information on the webinars as soon as they are scheduled.
