NVTC's EB&E Committee Co-Hosts Twin Tech II

More than 1200 people attended one of the hottest parties in our region last Thursday: Twin Tech II. NVTC's Emerging Business and Entrepreneur Committee hosted the mega-event along with iStrategyLabs at the club Avenue in downtown D.C.

"The idea of bridging the gap between D.C.'s tech crowds has hit quite a nerve," wrote Kim Hart in yesterday's Washington Post, and most in attendance would agree. Many reported forging connections with people at the event and dozens of business cards were exchanged.

"Twin Tech II was about double the size of the first Twin Tech, but the three floors at Avenue allowed for more interaction among people there and longer conversations," said Art Swift, spokesman for the Northern Virginia Technology Council. "Twin Tech is a good indicator of how strong the tech region is here. Executives and newcomers alike want to grow their businesses and meet up in a purely enjoyable networking situation."

The Emerging Business and Entrepreneur Committee thanks its sponsors for Twin Tech II: Invention to Innovation Fund at GMU; LeverPoint; KnowledgeBank; and RedShift Ventures.
