About Us

Mission Statement:

Increases in energy supply and security, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and continued job creation are all drivers of economic growth, which can be supported through the deployment of tax incentives, cash grants, and regulatory guidance from state and local governments and continued private sector investment. The mission of the NVTC Energy and Sustainability Committee is to ensure that Northern Virginia remains a regional economic power by advocating for a reliable supply of energy, while promoting progressive technologies and maintaining proper environmental stewardship. This committee will provide NVTC member companies with a platform to establish and engage on best practices in the energy space, monitor new and changing energy legislation in the Commonwealth, and educate each other on emerging technologies and relevant industry issues.

Our Goals:

  • Serve as a networking platform for members to connect, learn, and share about energy related issues facing their business and the region
  • Host a series of meetings in which speakers address key issues and emerging technologies in the energy space
  • Regularly published thought leadership around energy and technology issues relevant to the member base
