NVTC Chair Brad Antle, president and CEO of Salient Federal Solutions, and several NVTC members participated in the Northern Virginia Stop Sequestration Rally on Monday, July 30, in Arlington. The event, which was attended by more than 250 representatives of technology companies in Northern Virginia, was designed to call attention to the serious, negative effects sequestration will have on the government contracting industry, national security and the region.

During the bipartisan event, state and national policy leaders as well as the CEOs of technology companies and associations shared the contracting industry’s support for a resolution to sequestration and outlined the consequences of inaction. Speakers included: Gov. Bob McDonnell, Reps. Gerry Connolly, Jim Moran, Bobby Scott and Frank Wolf, Northrop Grumman President and CEO Wes Bush, SAIC Chair of the Board and CEO John Jumper, NVTC Chair and President and CEO of Salient Federal Solutions Brad Antle, Aerospace Industries Association President and CEO Marion Blakey, and Fairfax Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jim Corcoran.
