VEI Announces Winner of Inaugural VEI NoVaTechVets Recruiter Contest

Inaugural contest highlighted by participation from almost 80 recruiters and 70 new accounts created on

NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative’s (VEI) recently ran its inaugural VEI Recruiter Contest aimed at promoting the expanded use of, a free NVTC Veteran job board and talent resource created by to connect NVTC member companies with job seeking Veterans and their spouses.

The recruiter with the most Veteran resume views on during the six week-long contest was entered to win a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 donated by Microsoft, an NVTC member company and VEI supporter. Resume views of Veteran candidates were tracked to determine the highest number performed by a single recruiter during the six weeks.

Congratulations to Hewlett Packard Enterprise Senior Technical Recruiter Mike Murray for having the most resume views on! Mike is the winner of a brand new Microsoft Surface Pro 4! In second place was Jenna Mullikin from EmeSec and third place went to Joe Jones from AXA Advisors. Both Jenna and Joe received gift cards.

Over the past six weeks, 76 recruiters participated in the contest and there are now 530 recruiter accounts on the site sourcing workforce talent. In addition, there was a weekly drawing for a gift card awarded to recruiters who created new accounts on A total of 70 new recruiter accounts were established during the contest.
