New Keynotes and Panelists Announced for 2018 Capital Health Tech Summit

Samsung Healthcare’s Jerry Berger and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Charles Worthington are newest headliners for May 10 event

May 7, 2018 — NVTC announced new keynotes and panelists for its second annual Capital Health Tech Summit taking place on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Inova Center for Personalized Health.

The Capital Health Tech Summit will showcase how the intersection of commercial, government and academic assets makes Greater Washington the epicenter for innovation and opportunity in the health technology sector.

New speakers include:

  • Jerry Berger, Senior Manager, Healthcare, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (KEYNOTE)
  • Charles Worthington, CTO, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (KEYNOTE)
  • Shirley McElhatton, Director of Patient Service Excellence, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (PATIENT EXPERIENCE PANEL)
  • Raymond Sczudlo, General Counsel, b.well (PATIENT EXPERIENCE PANEL)

  • Todd Stottlemyer, CEO, Inova Center for Personalized Health, will also give keynote remarks.

    Panel discussions will feature experts from world leading healthcare organizations, universities and firms developing the latest health technologies and will cover such topics as precision medicine, blockchain and healthcare, and the patient experience. During the Summit’s innovation flash briefings session, companies will present 5-minute flash briefings highlighting groundbreaking or unique innovations that could ultimately be game changers in health.
