U.S. Department of Energy's Secretary Samuel W. Bodman to Keynote NVTC's Titans Breakfast Series Event
HERNDON, VA, September 22, 2008 - The Northern Virginia Technology Council, the largest technology council in the nation, announced today that U.S. Department of Energy's Secretary Samuel W. Bodman will keynote the Titans Breakfast Series event on September 25.Secretary Bodman's address will take a look at our nation's current energy crisis and present thoughts on what our country needs to focus on as it relates to energy policy and alternative fuel sources. Secretary Bodman will discuss alternative fuel sources currently being explored, renewable energy options and how changes in our nation's energy policy will affect businesses and consumers for years to come.
Secretary Bodman was sworn in as the 11th Secretary of Energy on February 1, 2005 after the United States Senate unanimously confirmed him on January 31, 2005. He leads the Department of Energy with a budget in excess of $23 billion and over 100,000 federal and contractor employees.
