How did your company start?
We've seen the pain on both sides of the recruiting front and in a conversation in spring 2010 with a colleague who staffs big federal projects for an integrator he was venting about staffing firms that provide candidates. At one point he threw up his hands when describing one particularly poor candidate the staffing firm sent over to him and said, "Can you believe the crap they give me? There has got to be a better way to do this."

How has NVTC helped you succeed?
Networking, networking and networking. Starting a business is a contact sport in the sense that you have to get out and about and NVTC is great for making an entrepreneur aware of various events and organizations and providing some guidance and introductions along with way. Unanet Technologies

How did your company start?
As a professional services company from 1988 to 1997, we helped large organizations with strategic planning, business process reengineering, network engineering and application programming. Discovering the common problem that organizations could not manage projects because they did not have real-time actual labor and expenses against project plans, we wrote a prospectus for our clients for a Web-based solution. These clients funded the agile three-month development by Unanet of the first Web timesheet in 1997. After searching for many years (since 1988) for a software product to develop, we knew this was the keystone for a suite of products to help organizations better manage professional services. In 1988, we reengineered the company from a professional services company to a software product company. Today, we have more than 750 customers and a software product that helps professional services organizations with project and resource planning, time sheets, expense reports, project accounting, project reports and collaboration.
