Member Company Micronic Technologies Named Winner at Mid-Atlantic Cleantech Open
On Oct. 10, NVTC member company Micronic Technologies was named a winner in its category at the 2012 regional finals of the Mid-Atlantic Cleantech Open. The company was the overall winner selected from 17 teams of innovative cleantech entrepreneurs.
As a regional finalist, Micronic Technologies will receive a “Startup in a Box” package with cash and donated services worth up to $20,000, and will advance to exhibit and compete in November at the national Cleantech Open Global Forum in California, for a chance to win $250,000 and the title of 2012 Top Cleantech Entrepreneur.
Micronic Technologies develops energy-saving technologies that improve clean water access. The company is a spring 2012 graduate of The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC’s FastTrac TechVenture program, showcased its technology at NVTC Destination Innovation this past May, and will present its business concepts on Nov. 29 at Entrepreneur Spotlight.
