Northern Virginia Technology Council Elects New Board Members

Rene Salas of Ernst & Young and Dennis Stolkey of EDS Join NVTC Board

(HERNDON, VA, Nov. 27, 2007) - The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) recently elected two new members to its Board of Directors: Rene Salas, Audit Partner, Ernst & Young; and Dennis Stolkey, Vice President & General Manager, U.S. Government, EDS. Both will serve a two-year term.

Salas has more than 20 years experience in public accounting. He currently leads the Washington, D.C., area Strategic Growth Market practice for Ernst & Young. He specializes in the life science industry and serves on the firm's Global Biotech Strategic Advisory Panel. Prior to moving to the National Capital region, he co-led Ernst & Young's life science practice in Texas. He earned his bachelor's of business administration degree from the University of Texas, San Antonio, and is a certified public accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

As Vice President & General Manager, U.S. Government, at EDS Stolkey is the senior company executive for this region and is responsible for relationships with EDS's federal, state and local government clients and senior military officers. Previously, he was vice president of several key areas within EDS, most recently with the U.S. Communications Industry Group. Stolkey has been with EDS since 1985 and before joining the company, spent 20 years at AT&T and Michigan Bell, managing operations, telemarketing, and sales and service organizations.
