NVTC Elects FY 2007 Officers and Board Members

HERNDON, Va., August 24, 2006 - The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is pleased to announce its fiscal year (FY) 2007 officers and the new and re-elected members of its Board of Directors.

The FY 2006 - 07 NVTC officers are:

  • Chairman - John Lee, President &d CEO, Lee Technologies
  • President & CEO - Bobbie Kilberg, NVTC
  • Vice Chairman - Jim Duffey, Vice President & General Manager, EDS
  • Vice Chairman - Donna Morea, President, CGI-AMS
  • Secretary - John Love, Principal, AH&T Insurance
  • Treasurer - John Mendonca, Partner, KPMG LLP
  • General Counsel - Scott Hommer, Partner, Venable LLP
  • Public Relations Advisor - Doug Poretz, Founding Partner, Qorvis Communications
NVTC Board members serve three-year, rotating terms. The following 12 business leaders were elected by the NVTC membership to the July 2006 - June 2007 class of Directors:

  • Deepak Hathiramani, President & CEO, Vistronix
  • Jim LeBlanc, Executive Director, American-Kuwaiti Alliance
  • Kent Murphy, CEO, Luna Innovations
  • Gary Nakamoto, Vice Chairman/CEO, Base Technologies
  • Jim O'Neill, Corporate Vice President and President, Northrop Grumman Corp. Information Technology
  • Gary Pan, CEO, Panacea
  • Kevin Parker, President & CEO, Deltek
  • Jonathan Shames, Partner, Ernst & Young
  • Terrie Spiro, Regional President, First Horizon Bank
  • Lydia Thomas, President & CEO, Mitretek Systems
  • Russell Wright, Chairman & CEO, Dimensions International
In addition, the following individuals will serve one-year Chairman's appointments to the Board of Directors:

The Board also elected two individuals to fill vacant seats: Stan Gutkowski, Managing Partner, Metro Washington, D.C., Accenture; and Paul Leslie, President and CEO, Apogen Technologies.

In addition, four individuals were named to the NVTC Senior Advisory Group of the Board of Directors:

  • George Newstrom, former Virginia Secretary of Technology
  • Dendy Young, Chairman, GTSI
