NVTC Applauds Koelemay Appointment by Governor Kaine

Herndon, Va. - April 20, 2006 - The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) this morning applauded Governor Tim Kaine's appointment of Doug Koelemay, NVTC Senior Advisor and former Vice President, to serve on the Commonwealth Transportation Board:

"We are very pleased that Governor Kaine has appointed Doug Koelemay to serve on the Northern Virginia district seat of the Commonwealth Transportation Board," said John Lee, chairman of NVTC and president and CEO of Lee Technologies. "As an active leader within Northern Virginia's technology community, Doug Koelemay is as familiar as any of us when it comes to the alarming scope and magnitude of Northern Virginia's transportation crisis."

"Given his experience as a former NVTC Vice President and his role as a strong advocate for Northern Virginia's technology community, Doug understands the rapidly changing community patterns brought about by Northern Virginia's technology driven growth. We know he will be a good decision maker in helping to determine how to best allocate scarce transportation resources to promote the safe and efficient movement of people and goods throughout the Commonwealth. We also are confident he will bring his tremendous intelligence, extraordinary creativity and proven problem-solving skills to bear in helping to tackle Northern Virginia's transportation crisis," added NVTC President Bobbie Kilberg.
