Destination Innovation

Destination Innovation is the premier event highlighting the vibrant technology community in our region! Now in its fourth year, the event features an innovation competition, exhibition, networking and industry speakers. The program is presented by NVTC's Technology Innovations Committee, in partnership with Capital Business.

Once again this year, the first round of the innovation competition took place online through Capital Business. Thirty-two companies participated in the innovation competition. The four companies who received the most votes in each category will exhibit and compete during the Destination Innovation event on April 29. The competing companies, including those that have been selected to participate in the event, are:

The advancing companies will give a live, in-person two-minute pitch about their innovative technology including why it is disruptive and how it solves a real-world problem in round two of the competition. After all four companies in a category have presented, event attendees will vote via text message for their favorite company from that category and the top two companies from each category will move to the final round.

The final round is a head-to-head competition between the remaining two companies in each category. A panel of experts will ask questions of the two companies, who will each have one minute per question to respond. Each head-to-head session will last a total of 10 minutes. The winner in each category will then be decided by the expert panel and announced during the closing reception.

Registration Policies

Registration
All attendees must have a paid registration to enter an event. Advance registration and payment is required. Pre-registration will close 24/48 hrs prior to the event. Once pre-registration has closed, all registrations will be considered a "walk-in registration" and will be assessed an additional fee to any payment rendered. Events for which payment is not required will not be assessed this fee. For sold-out events, no walk-ins will be accepted.

Photo Release
By registering for this event, I hereby consent to and authorize the use and reproduction, in print or electronic format, by NVTC or its authorized agents, of any and all photographs which may be taken of me at this event, for any publicity purpose, without compensation. I acknowledge and agree that all images, whether electronic, negatives and positives or otherwise, together with the prints, are owned by NVTC. I hereby acknowledge that I am 18 years of age or older and have read and understood the terms of this authorization and release.

Cancellations
Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to events@nvtc.org more than two business days in advance in order to receive a refund. No-shows will not receive a refund.
